Happy New Year! Happy New Space!

Happy New Year!  Back in GA after a wonderful visit in TX.  Missing my family already.  Just impossible to see everyone in one visit.  But we really enjoyed our stay. Kids start back to school tomorrow.  I haven't even finished unpacking and my Christmas decor is staring me down.  It'll all get done in time.  Thought I'd share pics of this little bench I bought at Ross'.  Even though I loved the color, it did not blend well in the space. So, I gave it a coat of black to match the black accents in the adjoining space.  Then paired it with black frames above. When I bought it, I really didn't know where to put it, but it seems to work well in this little alcove off my dining room. I like how it brought life to an otherwise boring little space, along with our new family portraits.  Blessings to you and yours for a happy and prosperous new year!  Thanks for all the comments left while I was away.

The bench looks great. I liked the white but I love the black. We don't go back to school until next Monday - I'm not quite ready for it yet.

Happy New Year !! Your bench looks fantastic, especially painted black. I love how it pops against your soothing wall color and how it ties in with your pretty black frames. Great job !!

Hi Tammy, I hope you had a good visit while in Texas. Welcome back. That is a wonderful bench, it looks great there and the photos above it are wonderful. I have put you on my blog roll, actually I thought I already had until I went looking for it. Hugs, Cindy S.

Black looks great in your space! I have a bench in my entryway and want to do something different but haven't decided what yet. I'm thinking painting it black would be pretty after seeing your post...
