Being a romantic at heart, Valentines is my 2nd favorite holiday of the year. I love what it represents and that really, all it requires is L-O-V-E. The Dr and I teach a young married's Sunday School class. Each year we try to put out a challenge for everyone to think outside of the box. Last year, the assignment was to plan a date for your spouse, start to finish without his/her input. Everything had to be a surprise. You know how it is when going out to dinner and the conversation goes something like "Where do you want to go?" "It doesn't matter." "Let's go here." "I don't want that!" "But you said it didn't matter!" etc etc So we gave out a list of creative dates (you can find these lists online) then came back and shared our experiences. It was very fun! This year, in conjunction with our studies on personality traits, there will be a "Color Challenge" assignment. (Go here to take a fun color personality quiz. and here for a home color quiz.) Each person must give a gift of their spouse's favorite color everyday of Valentine's week. It doesn't have to be costly, can even be homemade.
This has inspired me to go on a Google search of my favorite colors for romantic eye candy. Notice these pictures are not mine, but just a treasure hunt of lovely things. Thanks to all of the artistic people who have shared these images on the net. And if you've seen them before, well enjoy again! Will be posting many photos these next few weeks so forgive me in advance for my overindulgence! Happy Love Day everyone!
