He leadeth me...

HE leadeth me in the paths of RigHetOuSnEss for
His name sake...

A couple of weeks ago, I attended a women's conference.  The words of a particular speaker really blessed me.  She said, "Sometimes when you're on a journey, God will make a deviation in your path. Go outside and look down the street.  You can only see so far.  You can't see the bends, curves and hills beyond.  And that's how our lives are.  We don't see everything on our path but God does.  He sees things we don't so He causes us to take another path.  Don't fight it.  It's God's plan for your life."  That really spoke to my heart. The path I'm on would not have been one of my choosing. But what do I know? I can't see the bends and hills. Grateful that we can trust His leading.

tammy, that is a good bit of wisdom and so true. His Word is a lamp to my feet and a Light to my path. :)

Hi Tammy! What wonderful words of wisdom. I'm sure the conference was amazing. I like what your previous poster said, as well. Take care, Becca (Adventures in Decorating)

So glad that we can trust Him with our paths. I guess the key is at the beginning of the verse that says, "Commit your ways to the Lord...". Only when we've truly committed our ways to Him can He then direct our paths. I'm so glad that you have done that...living for Jesus is always exciting, not necessarily predictable, but exciting!
I was reminded of how true this is when I received the news today that my cousin, just a few years older than me, was in a car accident a couple of days ago and has passed away. He was a school teacher, High School Coach, father and husband. A really good guy, but he never committed his ways to God. I'm just so sad for him and his family.
Love ya, take care.

Oh, you are so right. I'm always wanting to see the bend or path to plan and figure out life. I've seen God's path and work in my life and know by now that I can't control those curves. Why, saying all that, do I so often want to try to control????

The speaker was a wise woman. Sometimes we are fearful of what lies beyond those hills and curves but if we have trust, it may all be for the best.

What a good word. Sometimes God sends us gems to hold onto for awhile. Thanks for sharing it with us. Sounds like it was a really good conference.

What a nice way to look at it. I think it's such a goof thing we can't see past the bends in our path, we might run away! :D

So very true. He sees what's beyond the bend, and we don't so we need to trust Him.

Tammy, That really spoke to my heart as well. Our lives have gone in completely different directions that I thought they would have. God does have a plan for us. I loved this , thank you!
