Happy New Year! Happy New Space!

Happy New Year!  Back in GA after a wonderful visit in TX.  Missing my family already.  Just impossible to see everyone in one visit.  But we really enjoyed our stay. Kids start back to school tomorrow.  I haven't even finished unpacking and my Christmas decor is staring me down.  It'll all get done in time.  Thought I'd share pics of this little bench I bought at Ross'.  Even though I loved the color, it did not blend well in the space. So, I gave it a coat of black to match the black accents in the adjoining space.  Then paired it with black frames above. When I bought it, I really didn't know where to put it, but it seems to work well in this little alcove off my dining room. I like how it brought life to an otherwise boring little space, along with our new family portraits.  Blessings to you and yours for a happy and prosperous new year!  Thanks for all the comments left while I was away.

First and Last

This will be my first time to post on Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch!  I've enjoyed so many beautiful tablescapes there.  This is also my last time to post this year because we are headed home (TX)!  Can't wait to see family.  We had our own little family Christmas today.  This was the dining room table set for lunch.  My kids requested lasagna and spaghetti, so it was.  Took me a little while to prepare the lasanga but it was worth it.  We had such a wonderful Christmas.  Nothing like seeing Christmas through a child's eyes.  My heart is overflowing, my ears are ringing from the gadget toys and I'm dodging nerf bullets!  I wouldn't want it any other way.  So blessed!  Merry Christmas everybody!  See ya next year!!

Couldn't resist this last picture of my little ghetto looking children in their Christmas pj's.  We have a tradition at our house of opening one present early the night before.  It's always pj's.  For some reason, they act surprised every time.  No other time would they get as excited over pj's.  All Prince O wanted for Christmas was cowboy boots!  That's all he talked about.  Santa brought him an entire outfit w/ chaps and everything (not all pictured.)  Just in time for our trip to Texas!  yeehaw!  Getty up!  We couldn't leave out big bro and sis on the hats.  I'd say my children look multicultural here!  lol

Master Sweet

Peek a boo.  My reflection is in every picture with the gold ornament. Oh well.. Just love the whimsical feel to this.
Maybe you can stand one more post on my Christmas decor.  This is our master "sweet" with holiday touches.  Hoping to have a tree in here next year.  Proud of my wreath done on the cheap.  Wreath free at a yard sale, tinsel $1.  Ribbon laying around the house.  I needed something fast so this is what I came up with.  Sweet dreams!

Boys Vintage Room at Christmas

I'm on a roll with my posts today.  Have to get them all in while I have a free moment.  Here's Prince O's room decked out for Christmas.
Another post to Metamorphis Monday.  Check out all the transformations over there!
