This little dress belonged to me as a baby. That makes it over 40+ years old! I love smocking and have dressed all of my children in smocked outfits, even my boys. Smocking is timeless. I keep these little sentimentals in my curio cabinet. The rosette headband belonged to Princess. Headbands were just coming into vogue then (19 years ago) and I took a lot of criticism from people for "putting that tight thing on my baby's head" or "it looks like a helicopter." She survived and turned out to be a very intelligent young lady. However, there are days when I wonder if maybe it did cut off some circulation to the brain. (Just kidding! She's a good girl.) The little boy blue plate was a thrift store find but looks so much like my youngest. (He's the one with the attitude.) There's nothing softer than a pink baby dress. Almost makes me want another baby. Speaking of which, if you like to read good birth stories, head over to Design Mom. The best I've ever read in my entire life is the story of Nella Cordelia. (You'll need a box of tissues.) Have you hugged your child today?
Posting to Pink Saturday over at How Sweet the Sound.
Love the little details...
Looks like it was made in the Philippines...
A little tattered and torn by now, but still a classic...

How sweet that you saved all of these little keepsakes. The little baby smock dress is precious! My daughters wore those little headbands too and I loved them. They never stayed on, but I loved them! ;-)

Such sweet photos, Tammy, I love them. Especially the plate, the baby in the family often does show attitude, don't they.
I don't have anything from my childhood, our house burnt down when I was 11 yrs old. But, I do have a sun suit that was my mothers when she was a baby. It is over 76 years old! I also have a photo of her wearing it. Light bulb moment! I should do a post on it, I love vintage and so do so many other bloggers.
I haven't hugged my child today, but maybe I can tomorrow. We are going over to his house for Naomi's 9th birthday celebration. I will do a post on her.
I need to email you. I will as soon as I am done here.
Hugs, Cindy S.
Love the little smocked dress and keepsakes. I have several photos of me when I was little but no clothing. I like the way you have everything displayed.

Hi Tammy, I've passed on an award to you. You can check it out at my creating peaceful thoughts blog. http://creatingpeacefulthoughts.blogspot.com/
Cheers!
Awww I love everything you posted. They are so pretty. I love babies too. :)
That dress is so precious! I learned to do English smocking when my daughter was a baby. I made her several dresses, and like you, I even smocked some for my younger son.

Very pretty! - Happy Pink Saturday!
Hi Tammy! They are such precious heirlooms. If I'd had a little girl, I don't think I'd have been able to resist the headband either. Have a lovely week! Terri

i'm off to read your recommended stories...now where's my Kleenex (i'm a cryer). LOL

Hi Tammy! Such a pretty dress you have from your childhood. I love smocked dresses on my daughter some 25+ years ago. Fond memories!
I also want to thank you for letting me know you couldn't see the photograph on my blog. Was it just the one where I posted the snow picture or all the photos on my blog? I am asking because I use Goggle Chrome and sometimes it seems to disagree with my posting ideas. If you click on the photograph and go to the larger image are you still blocked from seeing the image?
I looked around on 'Blogger Help' but didn't seem to find an answer for not seeing images. You can post a question to 'Blogger Help' and maybe they know tips or suggestions to help find an answer.
I too have some of the old, smocked dresses. I soaked them in Oxy Clean and you would not believe how fresh and clean they look! Don't you love that you still have these things? Precious!
